Arctic Monkeys announce huge Emirates Old Trafford gig for 2023

Rock band Arctic Monkeys have announced a huge gig at Manchester's Emirates Old Trafford Stadium as part of a newly-announced 2023 tour. Fans had been hoping for a big announcement after the band's confirmation of a new album at the end of last month.

Now, they have released a full schedule of UK and Ireland tour dates for 2023 which will include a huge gig at the Emirates Old Trafford cricket ground on Friday, June 2, 2023. The tour also includes stadium and arena gigs in cities including Bristol, Coventry, Dublin, Glasgow and London.

There will also be two huge homecoming shows for the band at Sheffield's Hillsborough Park on June 9 and 10.

Tickets for the shows go on sale at 9am on Friday September 30 which you can access here, while a fan pre-sale begins at 9am on September 29. Those who pre-order ‘The Car’ from the bands official webstore before 3pm on Wednesday September 28 will get access to the fan pre-sale.

The English rock band have just unveiled debut single There'd Better Be A Mirrorball from their album which is set for release on Friday, October 21. Their seventh studio album, The Car features ten new songs written by Alex Turner and produced by James Ford.

Following 2018’s Tranquility Base Hotel + Casino, The Car finds is said to see the band "running wild in a new and sumptuous musical landscape and contains some of the richest and most rewarding vocal performances of Alex Turner’s career".
