Apartment block sealed off in Manchester city centre
Police and fire crews were called to an apartment block in Manchester city centre this morning after reports of shattered glass falling from the sixth floor of a building.
Murray Street in Ancoats was sealed off by officers after emergency services were called to the incident at around 11.30am on Saturday (8 April).
It is not clear if any injuries were reported following the incident. Greater Manchester Police have been contacted for more information.

Greater Manchester Fire Service (GMFRS) said in a statement that one fire engine and an aerial platform were sent to the apartment building and safely removed the pane of glass.
Pictures from the scene show a number of police vehicles, and fire crews assessing the area within the police cordon this morning.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: "At around 11.30am on Saturday 8 April, fire crews were called to reports of shattered glass falling from the sixth floor of a residential building on Murray Street, Manchester.
"One fire engine and an aerial platform from Manchester Central quickly attended the incident. Firefighters put a safety cordon in place in the road below and then used a turntable ladder to safely remove the pane of glass.
"GMFRS crews were in attendance for approximately 45 minutes."
