Antony's Man United stance clear as transfer offers 'received'

Manchester United winger Antony is reportedly determined to fight for his place at Old Trafford and has rejected transfers elsewhere which could have offered more playing time.

In Erik ten Hag's first summer at United. he pushed hard to bring the Brazilian winger to the Theatre of Dreams. After losing Lisandro Martinez to the Reds earlier in the window, Ajax were reluctant to let another star man leave.

However, Antony pushed through a move to the Premier League and an agreement was later reached for his £86m transfer to the top flight. The forward started impressively at Old Trafford but soon lost his way and has failed to show any consistency that his price tag demands.

From 83 appearances for United, Antony has returned just 11 goals and five assists, a record which has led to speculation surrounding his future. According to the Daily Mirror, clubs in Brazil, Spain and Turkey have all made enquiries about the 24-year-old's availability but his team have insisted that he wants to stay and fight for his place in Manchester.

This position comes as MEN Sport understands United wish to add a winger to their squad next summer. Crystal Palace's Eberechi Eze is one of the players on the radar for the Reds.

Eze has a £68m release clause inserted into his contract which could be activated in 2025. To bring the Englishman in, the Reds will likely need to offload a player and Antony will be seen as a player at risk.
