Antony joined Paul Scholes and Ruud van Nistelrooy with Manchester United debut feat

Sunday was a day to remember for Manchester United. Erik ten Hag's side sealed a superb 3-1 win over Arsenal at Old Trafford to extend their winning run in the Premier League to four games.

While Marcus Rashford notched the brace that ultimately settled the contest against Mikel Arteta's side, new Brazilian winger Antony got the ball rolling with the opening goal in the first half.

His fine, curled finish capped a memorable debut for the 22-year-old. And he certainly enjoyed the moment with a flurry of passionate celebrations including a tiger roar and fiercely grabbing the United badge.

The strike also ensured the winger joined a select band of United stars to score on their Premier League debut for the club. Only 21 players have achieved that particular feat.

And it is a list including some big names from the club's history. Paul Scholes netted on his maiden outing in the competition against Ipswich in the 1994/95 season while Ole Gunnar Solskjaer followed suit in 1996/97. Others to have scored on their top flight debuts in the past 30 years include Ruud van Nistelrooy, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Romelu Lukaku.

The last player, prior to Antony, to do it was Donny van de Beek who scored on the opening day of the 2020-21 season in a home loss to Crystal Palace.
