In the aftermath of Tottenham 's 1-0 defeat to Burnley, attention was quickly diverted away from their dismal display to Antonio Conte and his future at the club.

Spurs suffered a fourth defeat in five games with that loss at Turf Moor and after what looked like a turning point in their season with the 3-2 victory at Manchester City on Saturday, things quickly changed again.

The Italian looked broken and completely devoid of any hope in his interviews following the game and even hinted at his own exit from the club.

And an exit now seems as though it could be edging closer after former footballer Massimo Brambati revealed that he has spoken with Conte, who said he is ‘thinking of leaving’ the club.

Brambati told TMW Radio : “He’s thinking of leaving. He would like to stay at home, let’s say. It takes time, and maybe he realised that there’s a margin beyond which he can’t go with certain players.

"He made a wrong assessment. I’ve heard from him; he’s disappointed with a situation he expected to be different.”

This will come as devastating news to Spurs fans who will certainly hate to see a manager of Conte’s pedigree walk away from the club this early on in his tenure.
