Happy birthday Ji Sung Park - one of the only players ever to pocket Andrea Pirlo for 180 mins
Ji Sung-Park was a fantastic servant to Manchester United.
The South Korean wasn’t always a guaranteed starter at the Red Devils – he only played over 18 Premier League games twice in a season for United – but he always gave it everything he had.
Sir Alex Ferguson could ask Park anything to do on the pitch and he would carry the instructions out to the best of his ability.
Ferguson even gave him the task of man-marking the legendary Andrea Pirlo for a Champions League match against AC Milan in 2010.
Park performed so well in a historic 3-2 victory for United at the San Siro that Ferguson asked him to do the same job in the return leg a few weeks later.
And Park pocketed him again in a 4-0 triumph for the Red Devils at Old Trafford. You can view their battles over the two legs below…

Sir Alex knew he had to do something to slow down AC Milan's conductor, and he knew the man for the job…
