Tottenham are hoping they can sign Dejan Kulusevski over the coming days as Antonio Conte looks to bolster his attacking options for the remainder of the season.
reported on Friday afternoon that Spurs had entered talks with Juventus about making a move for the Sweden international before Monday's 11pm deadline.
The north London club look as if they have missed out on Porto winger Luis Diaz, who now looks set to complete a move to Liverpool in the near future.
So, Tottenham's attention is understandably elsewhere, with Kulusevski understood to be of strong interest to Conte and Spurs chief Fabio Paratici.
According to a report from La Gazzetta dello Sport in December, the 21-year-old attacker will be allowed to leave Juventus this month should the Italian club receive £29million for his services.
Kulusevski has undoubted talent but has been a bit-part player at Juve so far this term. He has so much talent, in fact, that he has been compared to Arjen Robben in the past.
Sweden manager Janne Andersson, when speaking about Kulusevski in 2019, said to La Gazzetta dello Sport, via Fot Mob: "Considering his pace, his ball control and his finishing, I see him as similar to Robben.
"Dejan hasn't been with us for long, but has already shown he has great potential. He works hard and is very quick. If he continues like this, he will be in the Sweden squad for many years to come.
