Anthony Joshua: Eddie Hearn details dressing room atmosphere after Oleksandr Usyk loss

Anthony Joshua has suffered brutal back-to-back defeats to Ukrainian heavyweight, Oleksandr Usyk, losing his titles and shot at an undisputed clash with Tyson Fury.

Eddie Hearn, who is AJ’s promoter, was on hand to console his man after another crushing defeat, despite him going on a tirade in the ring, ranting whilst throwing two of the belts out of the ring in anger.

In an exclusive talk with The Daily Mail, Hearn has revealed what his first interactions with Joshua were after the loss, he said: “He didn’t want a conversation, it was that sort of vibe.

“I actually went over to talk to him and to everyone he was like, “Leave me alone”. I said, “No, I won’t leave you alone. I’ve got to tell you, you boxed well.

“He said, “No I f****** didn’t box well, I lost”. I said, “No, you boxed well. In the first fight, you didn’t box well, and I’ve told you that. But after nine rounds, I was convinced you were going to win this fight.

“Usyk was amazing in the 10th, 11th and 12th rounds, and the better man won, but Joshua took him all the way.

“It took two hours before we went into the press conference. One of the hard things for fighters is having to go and do the press conferences and speak after having a fight.
