Ant and Dec Saturday Night Takeaway viewers say they 'can't cope' with Simon Cowell prank

Saturday Night Takeaway viewers have been left laughing in tears following Ant and Dec's latest undercover prank in tonight's episode.

While marking the start of their 20th season, they pranked Simon once again by disrupting his cycling commute with a pair of actors disguised as police officers. However, their prank didn't end there, during a filming of America's Got Talent, Simon was made to sit in a magician's box and was handcuffed while being left on stage.

He was then awkwardly sawed out of the box while actors kept asking if he consented to every little manoeuvre, leaving viewers laughing in tears.

Fans were left howling following the prank, with one user writing on X, formerly Twitter: "Oh my god I can’t cope! Simon Cowell in his little shorts riding away on his bike in a high vis vest." A second added: "Simon Cowell is a good sport!"

A third said: "Yes #AntandDec got #SimonCowell good & proper." A fourth added: "This is the BEST undercover ever! It's absolutely hilarious! Well done @antanddec and what a great sport @SimonCowell is fair play! "

A fifth said: "Ant and Dec pranking Simon Cowell How have they not done this before it's long overdue."

Simon Cowell was the first to be subjected to an undercover prank from Ant and Dec when they appeared on America's Got Talent decades ago and gave a less-than-stellar performance, much to the recoil of Simon at the time.

To reward Simon for his participation in their cheeky prank, Ant and Dec got Simon his own personalised high-vis vest.
