Ange shakes up Spurs with Postecoglou rules in effect as former Celtic boss escalates 'We Never Stop' mantra

Determined Ange Postecoglou is hell-bent on providing Tottenham Hotspur with a shake-up as he wastes no time over his major rebuild.

The former Celtic boss is straight down to work with his official start date coming on Saturday, July 1. And that means back to business for non-international players in the Spurs squad this weekend. The Premier League big-hitters traditionally pencil in the first Monday of July as the return date, however, it's understood Tottenham players are booked in at the start of the weekend.

The 57-year-old knows all about making first impressions count with his famous 'We Never Stop' mantra being delivered to Celtic players on the first day of his Parkhead reign back in the summer of 2021. And it's a similar story with fringe men once again set to find out all about the strict rules Postecoglou adheres to. Spurs' international players are scheduled to return at a later date before a tour of Australia which kicks off against West Ham in Perth on Tuesday, July 18.

Postecoglou is closing in on Empoli keeper Guglielmo Vicario as his first signing but it's also understood at least one central defender and a young, versatile winger are also on his wishlist.

The biggest story in N17 is set to be the future of superstar striker Harry Kane. The England skipper admitted in May "a lot needs to change" at the London club. The Australian will be confident he can convince one of the world's finest striker Angeball is for him as Spurs aim to bounce back from a disastrous season which featured three different faces in the dugout.
