Ange Postecoglou speeches NEVER STOP as Australia cast into a spell before England showdown

Ange Postecoglou gave a rousing speech to the Socceroos - urging them to beat England and to inspire a future generation of Australian stars.

The Spurs boss, along with Gus Huddink, was invited to address the Australia team by head coach Graham Arnold at their hotel in London. The former Australian boss, who was in charge from 2013-17, told the current squad they can make tonight’s friendly against Gareth Southgate’s superstars “a memorable one” by winning at Wembley this evening.

Postecoglou said: “That is a message to you guys: ‘You are playing for yourselves but the impact you can have on future generations. “When you play at a stadium like that (Wembley) and you make an impact then it is not just for you because there is going to be a little boy or girl who is going to look at it and say one day that is going to be me. “That is the power you guys have when you represent your country which is different from your club. Make your trip to Wembley a memorable one - not that you just played England but you knocked them off. “It makes them memorable not just for you but everyone.”

The ex- Celtic boss hit all the right notes in front of Premiership stars like Martin Boyle, Lewis Miller, Kye Rowles, Keanu Baccus and Ryan Strain. Postecoglou pointed to his own success and his fight against the odds to become an English Premier League manager.

He believes it is an Australian trait that fuels their proud nation to reach new heights. Postecoglou added: “Us, as Australians, we can do whatever we believe we can.

“They can keep putting us down but we keep working our way up. It wasn’t long ago I was (down) here but now I am in the Premier League and everybody loves me. Trust me, I haven’t changed one bit.

"I am still the same
