Ange Postecoglou in Celtic title confession as boss reveals toll of 'two seasons jammed into one'

Ange Postecoglou feels like he's been through two full seasons since arriving at Celtic as his team finally got the title over the line.

Many wrote the Australian off after a shaky start but his side have come roaring back and the Premiership crown has long been a formality.

They made arithmetically sure of it with a 1-1 draw at Dundee United and Postecoglou admits it has taken "every ounce" out of him.

When asked on BBC Sportsound if it's the crowning moment of his career so far, he said: "It's taken the most out of me that's for sure!

"It's almost like two seasons jammed into one, it's been a rebuilding season and a season to win in one.

"We've had a lot of work to do, we've had the support of everyone within the club, and we've got there.

"It's taken every ounce of me and I couldn't be proud of them."

It's been a remarkable turnaround considering where the club were just a year ago as they've gone from 25 points behind Rangers to prying the title back from them with a game to spare.

And Postecoglou admits it's a lifelong dream come true.

He added: "It's hard for me to comprehend. If you'd told me 12 months ago I'd be standing here, I wasn't even sure I'd be on this continent let alone as manager of this club.

"The dream was always to manage a famous club and make an impact. When something is a lifelong obsession and you finally get there, it's hard to put into words."

He had his doubters when he first joined and their unconvincing start had many feeling he wasn't long for the job.

But rather than rub it into his detractors, Postecoglou was graceful in victory as he spoke following the draw at Tannadice.

He said: "We got here and I was kinda unknown, and I understand it. I never held it against anyone.
