Ange Postecoglou hit with Tottenham title reality check as sour grapes Arsenal rival tells Spurs they'll 'collapse as usual'

Ange Postecoglou has been told to keep the title-winning champagne on ice as his Spurs are bound to collapse.

That's the view of somewhat bitter Arsenal rival Bacary Sagna who watched the former Celtic boss go eight games unbeaten in the English Premier League with a brave win over Luton Town to top the pile before the international break. London is rife with Angeball fans, with Spurs and Postecoglou sitting two points clear of last season's title challengers Arsenal, who also haven't tasted domestic defeat under Mikel Areta this campaign, seeing off champions Manchester City on Sunday.

But former French international Sagna is not drinking the Ange-flavoured Kool Aid and reckons Spurs, who have often been taunted by rivals fans for 'bottling' games, says the inevitable collapse is coming but that the Australian coach will guide them to the dizzying heights of the Champions League.

He told Paddy Power: "The title race will be between Arsenal and Manchester City, Spurs will collapse, as usual. And that's not just me speaking as an Arsenal fan. I don't see them being consistent enough all season.

"Apart from Heung-Min Son, I don't see anyone in that team that can lead the team or play a vital role in Spurs' title race. I have respect for the players, and they play good football under a good coach, but the season is very long, and I don't see them competing on a long-term basis.

"They started well, and they can qualify for the Champions League, but I don't see them competing for the title."
