Ange Postecoglou has 2 hidden Tottenham connections but Celtic exit theory isn't just 'joining dots'

There are connections at Tottenham - but that doesn't automatically mean Ange Postecoglou will swap Celtic for the big smoke.

Talk has raged ahead of Premiership trophy day for the champions that the Australian is the latest target for Spurs chief Daniel Levy in his search for a new boss. Feyenoord boss Arne Slot has already said no and top European names have proven elusive, and it's reported that they want Postecoglou for an upcoming summer reboot.

Fellow Australian Craig Moore has noted the links and knows there are two people connected with Tottenham that Postecoglou will know well. Scott Munn is their new chief football officer, another man from the land down under, and who has also worked in the City Group like the Celtic boss did with Yokohama F. Marinos. Then there is. Frank Trimboli, who is Head of Football at the CAA Base agency who represent the apparent Tottenham target, and he has connections in North London.

However, the former Socceroos player insists that doesn't all spell done deal. He told Go Radio: "He has said his focus is on the here and now.

"But I have seen the bits and pieces and they looked red hot, it didn't look as if it was just a rumour. It is easy enough to join the dots. You have Frank Trimboli who is very strong at Base, and Tottenham Hotspur.

"Scott Munn, who is an Aussie boy put in there recently at I think football operations. So you can see the merit, sometimes two plus two doesn't mean four, we are just giving a bit of background.

"At the end of the day, Ange is going to leave at some stage. It is very interesting but I think it is genuine, no doubt about that."
