Ange Postecoglou blanks Tottenham talk as Celtic boss laps up historic Treble but insists 'there will be time for that'

Ange Postecoglou blanked all Tottenham talk as he insisted his only focus was on celebrating leading his Celtic side to an historic Treble success with a 3-1 Scottish Cup final victory over Inverness Caledonian Thistle at Hampden.

The 57-year-old refused to entertain questions about his immediate future at Parkhead with the Aussie reportedly due to hold talks with Spurs chief Daniel Levy on Monday, with Postecoglou admitting he was "going on holiday with my family on Tuesday.”

Fellow Celtic treble winner Martin O’Neill quizzed Postecoglou following the victory as part of the Viaplay panel and host Emma Dodds asked him directly if there had been any contact either directly or indirectly from Tottenham Hotspur. Postecoglou said: “You’re talking about things that are taking me away from enjoying this moment and I’m not going to let that happen.

“I'm just enjoying this and I will enjoy it for as long as I can before people drag me away to talk about other things. I didn’t want to talk about it before and I didn’t say I’d talk about it after.

"What I want to do is enjoy this. People might think it’s selfish of me but I’m not thinking of talking about anything else. To do what we have done today, just take a little chunk of history for ourselves at this unbelievable football club, I owe it to my family and loved ones to enjoy that and not talk about other things. There will be time for that and it’s not today.

“I’m going to be bit selfish here because not just myself, family but people around me have all worked very hard to enjoy this moment so as disappointing as that may be for people that's what I'm going to do.”
