Ange Postecoglou and the Tottenham warning from Jose Mourinho he MUST consider as Celtic call nears

Ange Postecoglou has talked of how Celtic is the perfect club for him and how he enjoys a special connection with the Parkhead side.

So he might want to heed a warning from the Special One if London comes calling after Jose Mourinho said recently that Tottenham Hotspur was the ONLY club on his CV where he DIDN’T feel a connection.

Postecoglou is emerging as the No. 1 target for Spurs chief Daniel Levy and a move could come after Saturday’s Scottish Cup Final, where the 57-year-old Aussie will look to lead the Hoops to a domestic clean sweep and his fifth trophy in just two seasons in the east end of Glasgow. The chance to manage in the English Premier League could seriously test his resolve and leave Celtic with a massive managerial hole to fill. But if the chance to work in the cash-rich self-proclaimed best league in the world is too good to resists, then maybe the club could give him second thoughts - certainly if Mourinho’s words are anything to go by.

Ahead of Wednesday night’s Europa League final, the Roma boss said of his time at Tottenham: “I hope the Tottenham fans don't get me wrong but the only club in my career where I don't have still a deep feeling for is Tottenham. Probably because the stadium was empty, Covid time. Probably because Mr Levy (Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy) didn't let me win a final and win a trophy.”

Asked about his future with Roma before they lost to Seville on penalties, he said: “We will be connected forever, like I am with all my previous clubs, apart from Mr Levy's club. It's the only one, so after that - Porto, Chelsea, Inter, Real Madrid, Manchester United - all the clubs I feel a connection. Maybe people (will say) you cannot love every club - yes, I love every club.”
