Andy Murray reveals Wimbledon plan as he issues detailed injury update ahead of final decision

Andy Murray says he will make a final decision on Monday night on whether he will take part at Wimbledon in what is expected to be the Scottish star's final major tournament appearance.

Three-time Grand Slam champions Murray is likely to call it quits on his glittering career this summer, with recurring injury problems severely hampering the 37-year-old's ambitions of competing at the top level. The Dunblane player- who also won two Olympic gold medals - says he is now "free" of pain in his back but is still having trouble with a leg injury.

The first round of the Wimbledon Championships gets underway on Monday, and with Murray due to face the Czech Republic's Tomas Machac on Tuesday, the Scottish great says a conclusive decision on his participation at the tournament is imminent He said: "It's been a tough 10 days. After a few days of training, it's going well. Tomorrow morning I'm going to play a practice set, after that I'll make a final decision. My back is not bothering me, but I haven't recovered the sensations in my right leg as a result of the operation."
