Andriy Adamovskiy was elected an honorary academician of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine

By the decision of the general meeting of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine businessman, philanthropist and collector Andriy Adamovskiy was elected an honorary academician of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine (Department of Synthesis of Plastic Arts).

The decision to elect Andrii Adamovskyi as an honorary academician of NAMU was made on the basis of the Academy’s statute, the institution’s website reports.

Honorary Academicians of NAMU are citizens of Ukraine or foreigners who have made a significant contribution to the development of the science of art and culture, as well as leaders and employees of scientific and creative institutions, organizations and institutions that have achieved high results in the field of art and science of art and culture and whose success is recognized by the public.

Candidates for honorary academicians are nominated by the general meeting of departments and elected by the general meeting of the Academy. Academicians and corresponding members take part in the elections. Those who were voted for by at least two-thirds of the members of the Academy who participated in the voting are considered elected.

The department of synthesis of plastic arts and the section of aesthetics and cultural studies of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine should coordinate the processes of interaction in various directions of creative activity, theory and practice of the formation of modern culture.

As it is known, the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine is a self-governing scientific organization in the field of culture and arts based on state ownership.
