Andre Onana shows Gary Neville he can inspire vital Manchester United change

Erik ten Hag is building a team in his and Manchester United's image and the early signs are that Andre Onana will have no trouble fitting in.

The expectation was that the Cameroon international's transition would be seamless anyway, but the early signs have only added to the hype and excitement. Ten Hag's task is to take United back to the top of English football and to do that, the Dutchman has needed to boost his squad with quality but also strong characters with a winning mentality.

With Onana on board United certainly have more of that. He is a dominant present between the sticks and showcased his shot-stopping ability, as well as ball playing, in the pre-season tour of the United States. In addition to that, the 27-year-old showed everyone he is no shrinking violet when he laid into Harry Maguire for an almost costly pass versus Borussia Dortmund.

Onana backed himself after that game, assuring that he will continue to place high demands on his team-mates in order to give United the best chance of winning silverware this season.
