Andre Onana has told Erik ten Hag how to get Manchester United's season back on track
Manchester United's victory over Fulham was by no means pleasing on the eye.
At times it was difficult to watch, not quite as difficult as the two matches prior, but still there were areas of the performance which did not align with Erik ten Hag's vision for this football club. Yet, there must surely be a consensus that the display was arguably the least important thing.
United desperately needed three points to brighten the mood around Old Trafford and while a more comfortable victory was preferable, there is nothing quite like a late winner to boost spirits. Indeed, the reaction of fans post-match focused little on the errors but looked at the impact Bruno Fernandes made in the dying moments.

Of course it is crucial not to paper over cracks by merely focusing on the win but if any club in the top flight needed a victory to lift the mood, it was United. The challenge for Ten Hag is now how they keep their points tally ticking over.
Fortunately for the Dutchman, his goalkeeper Andre Onana provided him with the short-term secret to success at Old Trafford. Speaking to members of the press on Saturday, the Cameroonian international said: "They are great players; they bring a lot of energy, team spirit, they fight.
"Today was not to play football; you want to try to play from the back when possible. Today, it was just important for us to win because we always demand high standards.
"When you are playing for Manchester United, you always have to try to win. They came in and did a very good job.
"I am very happy for them, and now it is time to focus on the next game. It is going to be a fight there [vs FC
