An exciting day out awaits in Blackpool with new attractions and jam-packed events season for 2024

When it comes to a nice, fun day out by the beach, Blackpool is one place that will spring to mind for many.

But as well as being popular for its seaside location and instantly recognisable landmarks such as the Blackpool Tower, Illuminations and Pleasure Beach, the much-loved town has an abundance of things to see and do.

Recently, Blackpool has welcomed three brand new attractions for all the family to enjoy, whilst also gearing up for an exciting events season this summer and beyond.

Take a look below for a glimpse of what’s on offer now, as well as coming up soon…

Running now until June 9, Blackpool welcomes a brand new, free trail celebrating David McKee’s beloved children’s book character, Elmer the patchwork elephant.

Presented by Brian House Children’s Hospice and Wild in Art, each large sculpture of the elephant is uniquely decorated by both established and up-and-coming artists, making up Blackpool’s first-ever public art trail.

Discover more than 70 Elmer sculptures dotted around key landmarks, streets, and open spaces across Blackpool.

And with the free-to-download Elmer app, you can track and collect as many of the herd as you can. Plus, look out for in-app rewards, freebies, discounts and prizes. Just search ‘Elmer Blackpool 2024’ on your app store.

Prefer a hard copy? Pick up a map from Elmer HQ on Victoria Street opposite M&S or at the Tourist Information Centre at Festival House for a suggested £1 donation.

The limited time event aims to raise awareness and funds for Brian House, the only children's hospice on the Fylde coast.

A state-of-the-art multi-screen cinema and diner has recently opened in Blackpool, a pivotal part of the town’s major regeneration project.

Located in the Houndshill Shopping
