Amanda Holden posts cheeky snap with mum after dividing opinion with Phillip Schofield 'shade'

Amanda Holden has returned to social media after throwing 'shade' at Phillip Schofield. The Britain's Got Talent judge divided her social media followers over the weekend as she seemingly reacted to the news that the presenter had quit This Morning.

ITV announced on Saturday (May 20) that after 20 years fronting the daytime show, the veteran presenter had made the decision to 'step back' after the show had 'become the story' and claimed he wanted to 'protect the show he loved'.

The shock news came after a reported 'rift' behind the scenes between Phillip and his co-host Holly Willoughby. The duo, who have hosted the ITV daytime show together for 14 years, are reported to be 'barely speaking' behind the scenes. Claims of issues between the pair have been brewing in recent weeks after the presenters failed to host the programme together for a number of weeks.

After the news broke, Amanda took to Instagram, simply posting the flexed bicep emoji against a black backdrop to her main grid. The comments quickly flooded with messages as she left the post with no caption.

Amanda has since ignored the ongoing drama and shared a cheeky snap as she posed with her rarely-seen mum Judith and daughter Lexi. The trio enjoyed some time in the spring sunshine on Sunday (May 21).
