Amad makes six-word promise ahead of Manchester United return
Manchester United youngster Amad has seemingly refused to close the door on a return to Sunderland at some point in the future following the conclusion of his loan spell at the Stadium of Light.
The Black Cats' campaign drew to a close on Tuesday evening after they were beaten 2-0 by Luton Town in the second leg of their Championship play-off semi-final at Kenilworth Road. Despite leading 2-1 on aggregate after last Saturday's first leg, the Wearside outfit were outplayed by a well-drilled Luton side, who will now face Coventry City in the final at Wembley next weekend.
Defeat at Kenilworth Road marked the end of Amad's season-long loan stint with Sunderland and he is now expected to be embedded within Erik ten Hag's squad back at Old Trafford next season. The 20-year-old, as reported by the Manchester Evening News, will be invited to attend next month's FA Cup final against Manchester City at Wembley.

Amad made the most of his time at Sunderland, scoring 14 goals and registering four assists in 42 appearances. He lit up the Championship with a series of eye-catching performances and was head and shoulders above almost every other player in the division, certainly in terms of technical ability.
Unsurprisingly, Sunderland's supporters fell in love with the former Atalanta ace and were not prepared to say goodbye after Tuesday night's season-ending defeat to the Hatters. Nevertheless, Amad, judging by his latest post on social media, has refused to say farewell to the Black Cats for good.
Taking to his Instagram Story, the Ivorian, uploading a collage of images from his time on Wearside, posted: "One day we will meet again."
