Alvaro Morata makes feelings clear on Arsenal transfer after last-ditch phone call

Alvaro Morata has made it clear he is not interested in a return to the Premier League as he plans to fight for his place at Juventus.

The Spaniard is currently on loan from Atletico Madrid but his time in Turin could be cut short due to Dusah Vlahovic's arrival with the Italians willing to terminate his deal.

It had appeared Morata was on the verge of joining Barcelona earlier this month, but a deal collapsed.

Arsenal have entered the equation as a result with Spanish newspaper AS reporting that Arteta tasked his assistant Miguel Molina with phoning Morata to convince him to join the north Londoners.

But the 29-year-old does not wish to return to England after a disappointing spell with Chelsea and plans to see out his loan spell with Juve, according to Sport, despite Vlahovic poised to take his place in Max Allegri's side.

Arsenal have been on the lookout for a striker this month, but they have not had any luck as multiple players have slipped out of their grasp including Vlahovic.
