Real Sociedad striker Alexander Isak has opened up about his controversial trip to London and a potential transfer to Arsenal.

The Gunners were in desperate need of a striker during the January window given both Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah are into the final six months of their contracts at the club whilst Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was allowed to join Barcelona on deadline day.

Technical director Edu spent the majority of the month chasing Fiorentina's Dusan Vlahovic but as previously reported, the player wanted to stay in Serie A before sealing a move to Juventus last week.

The likes of Lille centre-forward Jonathan David and the aforementioned Isak were named as potential alternatives and Arsenal supporters were convinced that the latter would be joining after he was spotted in the English capital alongside teammate Adnan Januzaj.

When asked about the north Londoners' interest, the Swedish international told Mundo Deportivo: "I am not talking about other clubs.

"I am a Real player, I work here and this is my club. My work is on the pitch, and as I told you before, there are other people who work outside."
