Ally McCoist mercilessly trolled over Rangers 'cash chaos' as Abba track used to leave legend singing the blues in Malmo

Rangers legend Ally McCoist was ribbed by Celtic-daft radio sidekick Alan Brazil over the Ibrox side’s cash troubles ahead of their Europa League showdown against Malmo.

McCoist is in Sweden for the game and Brazil and ex Aston Villa striker Gabby Agbonlahor teased their talkSPORT colleague over their record against Malmo having gone out of the Champions League qualifiers twice to the runaway Allsvenskan leaders - including once when McCoist was in charge.

Brazil continues to claim to have inside info on the Ibrox club’s struggles with finance a big issue and McCoist was teased over their lack of money and when they went to the Rangers icon in rain-lashed Scandinavia the background was Swedish pop legends Abba’s track ‘Money, Money, Money’ and the pair continued to tease him throughout the interview.

McCoist opened up: “The weather in Malmo has been great for two weeks and it’s absolutely coming down in buckets. Pouring with rain.

Brazil said: “Is that you getting your excuses in early for the pitch!”

McCoist said: “The pitch is good, it’s a great stadium. I’ve been before and looking forward to it. They’re eleven points clear in the league.”

Agbonlahor said: “You played them in the Champions League and lost 2-1 twice.”

Brazil then burst out laughing and said: “Nothing to do with me.”

McCoist said: “I can see your wee faces giggling away there. Rangers have never won in Sweden. I’ll give you all the statistics you want. Malmo are well into their season, over 20 games played, so it’s a tough one for Rangers. Rangers were disappointing against Celtic but have had a couple of good wins against the Dundee clubs - one in the league and one in the cup - and they looked a lot better against Dundee in the Premier Sports Cup.”
