Allianz League wrap: Kildare go top of Division 2A as Carlow get off the mark

Kildare maintained their 100% record in Division 2A of the Allianz Hurling League with a 2-23 to 0-19 victory over Derry at Owenbeg.

Brian Byrne's early goal helped the Lilies into six-point half-time lead, and the gap hovered around that point until late on, when Killian Aherne buried their second major of the afternoon.

In 3A Monaghan overcame Louth by 1-19 to 1-15 to go top of the table. Armagh are second after they pipped Mayo by a point - 2-16 to 0-21, while Fermanagh and Roscommon co
