All the roadworks happening in Greater Manchester this week

Road works can slow down your journey, cause major disruption and bring havoc to your day.

Below is a comprehensive and helpful guide to all the roadworks across Manchester and in your area, to give you a head start in planning your journey and avoiding pit falls.

According to Transport for Greater Manchester, here is what to expect when you are out on the roads.

Multi-way signals will be in place on Wilmslow Road in Woodhouse Park, close to Mill Lane, from Tuesday 15 to Friday 18 March. Work will take place between 10am and 3pm.

There will be a lane closure in place on Altrincham Road, Benchill from Monday 21 March to Friday 1 April.

Multi-way signals will be in place on Bury New Road, Prestwich between St Paul's Road and Moor Lane on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 MArch.

Two-way signals will be in place outside 74 Bury Old Road, Whitefield from Monday 21 March to Friday 25 March. Work will be suspended between 7.30am-9.30am and 3.30pm and 6.30pm.

Multiway signals will be in place on Middleton Road, Chadderton (outside the junction of Nordens Street and the junction of Middlewood Court) from Thursday 17 March to Friday 1 April 2022 between 9.30am and 3.30pm.

A lane closure will be in place outside 109A Huddersfield Road, Oldham from Thursday 17 March to Friday 25 March. Work will be suspended between 7.30am and 9.30am and again between 3.30pm and 6.30pm.

Multi-way signals will be in place on Middleton Road in Chadderton, at the junction with Peel Street, from Tuesday 22 to Thursday 31 March.
