All the candidates standing in Greater Manchester local elections 2022 by ward

Local elections will take place across Greater Manchester next month. Hundreds of candidates are hoping to win seats on the region's 10 councils.

Voters in each borough will be choosing at least one councillor in each ward – but there are 'all out' elections in Bury and Rochdale with all seats up for grabs. Labour currently runs nine councils in the city-region - although no party has a majority in Stockport - while the Conservatives are in power at Bolton council.

Polls open on May 5, but people must be registered to vote by Thursday, April 14 with all applications for a postal vote due by 5pm on Tuesday, April 19. The election count and declaration of results will take place on Friday, May 6.
