All-round display from Jahid Ahmed inspires Blackheath to victory over Sevenoaks Vine while leaders Hayes, Bexley, Tunbridge Wells and Bickley Park also win in the Kent Cricket League Premier Division

Jahid Ahmed starred for Blackheath who dismissed Sevenoaks Vine for only 45 on their way to victory in the Kent Cricket League Premier Division.

Ahmed claimed 5-14 from 6.2 overs, supported by Arafat Bhuiyan (3-6), to leave Sevenoaks Vine all out in just the 23rd over.

That came after Blackheath, batting first, had posted 181 all out, five balls short of using their full 50 overs.

Ahmed top-scored with 44 while Andrew Reid-Dick and Luke Schlemmer both ended with figures of 3-24 from 10 overs.

Hayes top the Premier Division table after a five-wicket success against Minster.

Bowling first, Hayes’ bowlers shared the wickets around, although Andrew Eddicott (3-11) was the pick of them.

Wicketkeeper Oliver Dewey’s 46 not out did at least give Minster something to bowl at, though, as they were 111 all out.

In-form Kent all-rounder Alex Blake led Hayes home with a powerful 52-ball 56 not out, which included six sixes.

Bexley beat Sandwich by four wickets in a tight contest.

Opener Zack Fagg (78) top-scored for Sandwich in their 176 all out while Adam Ball finished with figures of 4-37 from his 10 overs.

Matthew Stiddard (74), supported by wicketkeeper Benjamin Aldred (35), saw Bexley over the line with just under three overs to spare.

Tunbridge Wells edged a low-scoring affair against Lordswood, also winning by four wickets.

Batting first, only opener Jack Laraman (26) made any real impact while Michael Waller (3-6) and Christian Davis (3-12) did the damage. Lordwood were 87 all out in the 41st over.

In reply, Lordswood made a reasonable fist of it Tunbridge Wells got home in the 25th over.

Bickley Park earned a 67-run success over Beckenham.
