All 228 Premier League and Championship free agents including Man City and Man Utd players

The summer transfer window is up and running but will step up a notch when swathes of players officially become free agents this weekend.

Manchester City and Manchester United have already been busy. City confirmed the signing of Mateo Kovacic from Chelsea this week while United are wrapping up a £60m deal to land his former Stamford Bridge teammate Mason Mount.

The free agent market will also be key for many clubs, with a host of players being released at the end of their current contracts. Most deals expire at the end of this month, with the calendar ticking over into July on Saturday.

Some free agents have already secured new clubs while others will be hoping to find somewhere to ply their trade before the start of the 2023/24 campaign. Here is a list of 228 players from Premier League and Championship clubs - by position - who will be without a team from this weekend, including those waving the Etihad and Old Trafford goodbye.
