Alison Hammond breaks silence on new romance as she says 'I'm dating' and reveals son's response

Alison Hammond has broken her silence on her love life after rumours about her new partner emerged. While she hasn't confirmed who her new beau is, the This Morning star has declared that she's 'dating'.

During an episode of their Parenting Hell podcast, Rob Beckett and Josh Widdicombe, the pair quizzed Alison, 49, on her love life. Not wasting any time in getting to the big questions, Rob and Josh jumped straight in and asked their guest: "Are you single Alison?"

Confirming her relationship status, the presenter replied: "No… I’m not single.. I’m dating. I’m dating!" They didn't go further into who Alison's new man could be but the hosts did go on to ask Alison about what it was like dating as a single parent now that her son, Aidan is 19.

"It’s more difficult, he is more verbal now that he is older. He’ll want to know who this person is and he’ll want to meet them. It’s a lot harder. He’ll wanna know that this guy is treating me well.’

She then revealed what her son thought of her new beau, saying: "The person who I am seeing at the moment, he is on his Instagram and he is like 'yeah I like him, he’s not too in your face'. Aidan is on it."

Alison continued: "When they actually met, he really liked him, he really thought he was lovely, so that’s nice. Thank goodness for that! Because normally Aiden hates anybody I date, literally just not interested.

"And you just know at that point, if Aidan doesn’t like them, this isn’t gonna work. There are moments where I think, ‘who’s the parent here?!’ It’s nice though because I always feel like
