Alfredo Morelos' Rangers transfer clue as Sevilla emerge as favourites to snap up star striker

Spanish giants Sevilla have emerged as favourites to snap up Rangers' Alfredo Morelos.

The La Liga club are now 3/1 with Betfair to sign the Colombian striker, who has played a key part in the Light Blues' front line in recent seasons.

To make the move happen, an offer in the region of £20million may be required, although the 25-year-old only has a year left on his Ibrox contract.

Morelos has netted 112 times in 224 Rangers appearances since joining the club from HJK Helsinki in 2017.

Sevilla are the only non-Premier League side to feature on the odds list.

Aston Villa sit in second position at 6/1. A move that would see Morelos reunite with ex-boss Steven Gerrard.

The Villa gaffer is already linked with former player Calvin Bassey who has been in talks with the Birmingham club this summer.

There are two more clubs with single figure odds - Crystal Palace (7/1) and Newcastle (8/1 - with Leicester on the sidelines as 10/1 outsiders.

Morelos is said to be in talks with Rangers regarding an extension to his stay at Ibrox.
