Alfredo Morelos lifts Rangers spirits as grinning striker and Ibrox teammates pictured flying out to face Borussia Dortmund

In-form Alfredo Morelos was all smiles as he jetted out with his Rangers teammates for the clash with Borussia Dortmund.

The Colombian will be hoping to add to his record-breaking continental goal tally against the Bundesliga giants in the Europa League first leg on Thursday.

It will be a mammoth task to see off the European heavyweights at the Westfalenstadion but Morelos was keeping things upbeat as the team set off from Glasgow Airport.

The 25-year-old was snapped joking with Joe Aribo, Steven Davis, Ryan Kent and Glen Kamara as they boarded the plane for the tough play-off test.

Gio van Bronckhorst appeared deep in thought as he flew out, with issues at the back giving him plenty to ponder.

Leon Balogun is out with an injury and that could see Calvin Bassey move back into the middle, despite disappointing recent performances from Borna Barisic.

James Sands could also drop into the back line having performed a similar role against Annan on Saturday.

Jack Simpson did not travel as he is not part of the Europa League squad and the same goes for Filip Helander.

Allan McGregor also boarded and if he handed a starting spot against Dortmund, he will make his landmark 100th European appearance for Rangers.
