Alfredo Morelos in potential Rangers transfer clue as striker switches to big 5 league agency

Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos has switched agents as he prepares to go into the final year of his Ibrox contract.

The Colombian international was previously with Michael Gorman and World in Motion, who brought him to Rangers from HJK Helsinki back in 2017.

The 25-year-old now appears to have changed to Footfeel and Echo Sports, who boast a big portfolio in Serie A including Inter star Lautaro Martinez, Roma’s Borja Mayoral and Achraf Hakimi, who left Inter for Paris Saint-Germain last summer.

It’s understood Footfeel are rolling out the red carpet for Morelos, who will give the player the big push over social media.

The news will be a concern to Rangers and their fans because Morelos is out of contract in the summer of 2023.

It remains to be seen if Rangers will try to extend Morelos’ deal or attempt to sell him before he runs down his contract.

The Premiership champions have turned down a number of big-money deals, with the latest from Lille a couple of years ago.

Morelos, who is the Light Blues record European scorer, has become one of Rangers’ top stars under Steven Gerrard and now Giovanni van Bronckhorst.

The striker, however, has never hidden his desire to play in one of Europe’s top five leagues and Footfeel with strong connections in Spain, Italy and England could make that happen.

Morelos who is already sitting on 19 goals this season will be looking to make it 20 plus when Rangers head to Serbia to take on Red Star Belgrade in the Europa League on Thursday.

He already has 113 Rangers goals in his five years in Scotland.
