Alexandre Lacazette: Lyon man loses voice in interview after Monaco loss
Alexandre Lacazette completely lost his voice in an unfortunate interview after Lyon’s defeat to Monaco on Sunday evening.
Lacazette, who returned to the club this summer after his contract expired with Arsenal, was in the starting lineup for the Ligue 1 clash.
But he could not prevent Lyon from succumbing to a 2-1 defeat.
Monaco took a two-goal lead in the second half thanks to two goals in eight minutes from Benoît Badiashile and Guillermo Maripán.
Karl Toko Ekambi set up a grandstand finish after halving the deficit in the 81st minute.
But Lyon could not score an equaliser and Monaco held on for a narrow victory.
Lacazette, who was named Lyon captain upon his emotional return to the club, spoke to the media after the match.
But, unfortunately for him, he had lost his voice after shouting too much during the game.
And he sounded like he was on helium when speaking to the media after the game. His interview with Prime Video Sport France has gone viral and you can view it below…
