Full-backs have become an increasingly important part of modern football.

While providing cover for their central defenders and snuffing out opposing wide players is still vital, many full-backs are a key part of build-up play, often having more touches than central midfield players.

Furthermore, attacking the opposition’s wide areas and delivering crosses into the box is now a standard part of full-back play.

FIFA mirrors the real-life game in this respect and Dexerto have produced a list predicting the best full-backs for FIFA 23’s Ultimate Team.

15. Ricardo Pereira (Leicester City) 83

The former Porto right-back makes this list at number 15. Predicted 83, the Portuguese international has chipped in with a few vital goals alongside his defensive duties.

14. Ivan Perisic (Tottenham Hotspur) 83

Also rated 83 is Tottenham left-wingback Perisic. The Croatian international is adaptable and will provide an attacking option from the left in the game.
