Alexa Bliss: WWE star reveals interesting character pitch she made before return

Alexa Bliss has opened-up on her character evolution in WWE and shared she wanted to take her person in an even darker direction. 

The 30-year-old is one of WWE’s most talented performers and showed her ability to evolve her character when she aligned herself with Bray Wyatt in 2020.

Swapping the Goddess gimmick that had served her so well and morphing into a completely different, more sinister role. 

The alliance with Wyatt ended upon his release last summer, but Alexa remained in her new guise and introduced WWE fans to Lilly.

A doll that Bliss would take to the ring and talk to, claiming it was her friend and using her as a muse in her ring outings. 

Speaking on Out of Character Bliss revealed that she had plans to take her relationship with Lilly and character even darker but plans with creative changed. 

I wanted it to go even darker and deeper. I had Jason (Baker) come out with a sketch and prototype of a different version of Lilly, which would have been super cool. Obviously, with creative, things always change. I’m still holding on that this new version of Lilly will come out one day. We’ll see.”

Lilly unfortunately came to untimely end at Extreme Rules 2021, when Charlotte Flair destroyed the doll and it led to a Bliss taking time away from WWE – where she underwent nose surgery.

When the five-time women’s champion returned, she appeared in several backstage segments where she undertook therapy sessions. And Bliss continued by speaking about those segments and the creative process that went into them.
