Alexa Bliss: WWE star aims subtle shot at AEW talent

Alexa Bliss has aimed a subtle dig at AEW star Jade Cargill in response to the TBS Champion’s comments directed at Athena. 

Earlier this week Cargill took a shot at AEW’s newest recruit to their female roster, Athena – formally Ember Moon in WWE – and referenced current NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose. Accusing Athena of looking Mandy-ish and attempting to be ‘sexy’. 

In a quick response Athena hit back by claiming the buff blonde look was already taken by Mandy and Charlotte (Flair), was it was time for Jade to move.

Now, it looks as though WWE Superstar Alexa Bliss has joined in the war of words to back-up the former WWE star and one of her closest friends. 

Posting on Twitter the five-time Women’s Champion said she’d love to get mad at someone taking shots at her bestie but claimed she doesn’t actually know who they are.

Bliss and Athena were close friends during the time together in WWE, so much so that Athena attended Bliss’ wedding to Ryan Cabrera in April. 

Since her arrival in AEW, Athena has targeted Cargill and The Baddies. She’s found back-up in Anna Jay and Kris Statlander, with Statlander taking on Red Velvet on this week’s episode of AEW Rampage. 

While Alexa has been on somewhat of a winning streak since he return to Monday Night Raw earlier last month. The Goddess is yet to lose a singles match on the red brand
