Alex Lowry has Rangers fans in stitches as cheeky 'opposition goal' quip is latest B team derby wind up

Rangers youngster Alex Lowry trolled Celtic in the aftermath of his side's penalty shoot-out victory as he celebrated his "opposition goal".

The term pokes fun at posts from Celtic's Twitter made during the Scottish Cup semi-final on Sunday.

Upon both Rangers goals in their 2-1 extra time victory, the Parkhead side didn't refer to their rivals by name when they updated followers.

Instead, their posts read: "Goal to the opposition."

That led to inevitable mickey-taking from Glasgow's blue half with Gers now facing Hearts in the Scottish Cup Final.

And Rangers kept the good derby vibes flowing when their B side triumphed in the Glasgow Cup semi-final at Auchenhowie.

It went the distance with penalties required after a 2-2 draw in 90 minutes and Lowry was on target in the shootout with a clever skip-step effort.

That was before Lewis Budinauckas denied Ben Wylie to set up Charlie McCann's winning effort from 12 yards.

And after the match, Lowry simply tweeted: "Opposition goal," with a thumbs-up emoji.

It comes a week after the young Gers celebrated wildly in front of home fans at Parkhead when Cole McKinnon scored the only goal of the game in the Lowland League meeting..
