Alejandro Garnacho responds to Manchester United fans' banner after Fulham win

Manchester United forward Alejandro Garnacho has responded to the banner unfurled in the away end of Craven Cottage on Saturday afternoon.

Both before and during the match at Craven Cottage, a group of United supporters held a banner which read: "Play like you mean it." The banner was referencing the displays the Reds had put in against Manchester City and Newcastle, with both games ending in 3-0 defeats for Erik ten Hag's men.

The Reds did show signs of improvement against Marco Silva's side even if chances were few and far between. Eventually United secured the three points in second-half stoppage time thanks to Bruno Fernandes' late strike.

Following the match, Garnacho, who celebrated making his 50th appearance for the club, acknowledged the banner and he agreed with the point United fans made. Taking to Instagram, he wrote: "Play like you mean it! (shaking hands emoji) Keep believing in us. The main man, Bruno Fernandes."

While the result could have been more convincing, Ten Hag will be pleased his players could deliver three points, especially as MEN Sport understands some members of the squad are less than convinced with the direction the club is heading.

United will now be looking to record back-to-back victories as they resume their Champions League campaign on Wednesday night against FC Copenhagen in Denmark.

United's Adidas home shirt is made up of the same colour of the city's iconic red rose and features a black collar. The collar also features a dash of both red and white, giving it a slick and modernised look.

Prices start from £55
