Alan Wake Remastered confirmed for Nintendo Switch

Alan Wake Remastered is set to come to Nintendo Switch.

The game was released initially on October 5th 2021, a remastering of the Remedy hit that first came out on Xbox 360 back in May 2010.

It has been a hit, too, receiving a score of 79 on Metacritic from a total of 43 critical reviews, and it also has a user score of 7.9 from 167 ratings. That is a hugely impressive reception for a game that is now over a decade old.

It has not had a single negative review on PS5, receiving 36 positive reviews and seven mixed critical scores.

And in a new video, per Video Games Chronicle, the game’s creative director, Sam Lake, has confirmed that the game will be released on Nintendo Switch in the Autumn. The game has yet to have a full release date attached to it.

Remedy have said: “We’re excited to announce that players will be able to visit Bright Falls on Nintendo Switch when Alan Wake Remastered launches for the platform this fall.

“The game will launch as a digital Nintendo Switch release only, and runs natively on the hardware. We’ll show more in the coming months, and we’re excited to share Alan Wake’s story with Nintendo fans for the first time.”

Alan Wake Remastered stays completely true to the original game, which follows a thriller novelist who is trying to unravel the mystery that lies behind his wife going missing. He also experiences events from his latest novel, which he can’t remember writing.

It’s a hugely atmospheric video game that also features a variety of scares, and some innovative combat.

The Remastered version of the game includes the original game and the two story expansions, The Signal and The Writer.

It has 4K graphical fidelity and also has a commentary from Lake.
