Alan Shearer says what every Newcastle United fan was thinking after Bruno Guimaraes goal

Alan Shearer summed up the thoughts of every Newcastle fan when Bruno Guimaraes chipped Tim Krul to round off the scoring at Carrow Road. The former Magpies shot stopper was caught napping as he tried to play out from the back.

Guimaraes was more alert than his Norwich City counterpart and stole the ball back on the edge of the area before lofting the ball over the onrushing Krul with classy precision. The midfielder has been a revelation since joining the club from Lyon in January and is enjoying a purple patch in front of goal.

Shearer tweeted: "Oh my word Brunnnoooo" accompanied with clapping emojis to praise the midfielders' finish. The goal takes his tally to four for the season, more than he managed during his entire stay in Ligue 1.

The Magpies legend was also full of praise for Joelinton who scored twice to end Newcastle's hoodoo at Carrow Road. Shearer tweeted: "Big Joe," followed by a rendition of "He’s Brazilian… He only cost £40 million."

Joelinton has been one of the standout players for Newcastle since Eddie Howe's arrival, dropping him into a deeper midfield role in the reverse fixture earlier this year. The Brazilian ranks among one of the best in the Premier League for having over 30 metrics in tackles made, interceptions, clearances, take-ons completed and aerial duels won.

Newcastle are on course for a remarkable top-half finish if they're able to continue their impressive form. They've tough games on the horizon against Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal before a trip to Turf Moor on the final day of the season.
