Ake, Foden, Rodri - Man City injury news and return dates ahead of Brentford

Manchester City face a nervous wait for several of their key players to return from injury.

City return to Premier League action this weekend as they face Brentford at the Etihad Stadium. Pep Guardiola's side claimed a victory over West Ham last month in their final fixture before the international break.

The last two weeks have seen several members of City's squad travel across the globe to represent their respective national teams. Now Guardiola and Co. will be hoping that the injury list significantly improves when he prepares the team to face the Bees this weekend.

MEN Sport have taken a look at City's current injury list and return dates ahead of the Premier League clash against Brentford.

Nathan Ake suffered an injury during the Netherlands' clash against Germany in the Nations League on Tuesday night.

It appeared that the City defender suffered a hamstring injury, which forced him to be stretchered off the pitch. City now face a nervous wait to discover the extent of the injury and a timeframe for a return.

Potential return date: Unknown

Phil Foden missed the fixtures against Ipswich Town and West Ham before the international break.

Foden was also withdrawn from the England squad for the matches against the Republic of Ireland and Finland due to illness. City will hope, though, that the 24-year-old will be fully recovered when they return to Premier League action this weekend.
