Airdrie still have room for 'one or two more new signings', says assistant boss

Airdrie assistant boss Aaron Taylor Sinclair says they hope to land 'one or two' more signings as they prepare for the new season.

The Diamonds have already added a host of fresh faces to the squad with 10 players in the door this summer.

Goalkeeper Murray Johnson, defenders Dylan MacDonald, Cammy Bruce and Aidan Wilson have been joined by midfielders Terrell Agyemang, Rhys Armsyrong and Lewis McGrattan, as well as forwards Ben Wilson, Aaron Reid and Cammy Cooper.

But there is still room to add to that in the coming days. After Saturday's 4-0 friendly win over Albion Rovers, Taylor Sinclair said: "There are possibilities for a few more. We will leave that to the boys in recruitment but I think we'll look to add one or two more. They are likely to be after we come back from Belfast. But we are pleased with the players we have in so far.

"Ben Wilson's paperwork isn't all sorted yet so he didn't feature on Saturday but he will be fit and available for the game with Crusaders on Tuesday. We are really happy to get Ben in. He is a real natural finisher so he can only add to the squad.

"It is credit to our recruitment that we've managed to bring big Aaron Reid in and Cammy Cooper as well. Cammy is a natural striker as well so it is good to have those three onboard alongside Toddy [Nikolay Todorov].

"Last season we played with two up, so it can be two out of the possible four or one, so everyone has got a clean slate. Toddy will have a part to play this season also."

On the trip to face Crusaders, he added: "We went to Coleraine last year and it was really good for helping the boys knit together. It is hard work but a good time away as well so we are looking forward to it. We will be doing double training sessions, we'll have
