Airdrie ace didn't have a club last month, now he has trophy win under his belt

Robbie Hemfrey admits football is a mad game after claiming a cup winners’ medal in only his THIRD professional game.

The 22-year-old wasn’t even training with a club a month ago, yet is now a SPFL Trust Trophy champion after helping Airdrie to a 2-1 win over Welsh Premier side The New Saints on Sunday.

“When the chance came I was in the right mindset to carry out the job.

“This has worked out perfectly. It’s a bit of a dream really.”

With a trophy ticked off the list, Hemfrey hopes
