Air hostess shares advice on how to get cheaper flights
Flights can be expensive, especially over the festive season when demand soars. But according to one air hostess there is something you can do to help secure cheaper tickets.
Esther Sturrus is an flight attendant who regularly shares flying tips and tricks online. She helps passengers by sharing the knowledge she’s gained through her job and as frequent flyer.
Previously she’s shown travellers where hidden cameras can be found in hotel rooms, how to keep clothes fresh while travelling and what the rules are when it comes to middle seat armrests. Now th 22-year-old, who has previously worked for TUI and now flies with KLM, has revealed how holidaymakers can bag cheaper flights.

Esther recommends that when you’re searching for deals online, you should use the “private” browsing mode. She said: “Often, travel sites and airlines will record your browsing history by installing cookies on your browser.
“These companies know how often you visit their site and will typically raise the price because of your frequent visits. Therefore, by using private browsing, nothing can be tracked or traced.
“During Christmas, airlines often experience a surge in passengers, leading to increased demand for flights.So additionally, being patient and understanding can go a long way during busy holiday flights.”
