Air ambulance meets diverted plane at Cardiff Airport

An international flight diverted to Cardiff Airport where it has been met by an air ambulance. Live air traffic monitors show an Aer Lingus flight from Bilbao to Dublin diverted to the capital at around 5.30pm.

The flight number is EIN7T9. The Welsh Ambulance Service confirmed that its air ambulance had met the plane, but a spokesperson said the "incident is still ongoing" and they could not comment further at this time. Cardiff Airport has been approached for comment.

Arrivals and departures at the airport are scheduled as normal, although a KLM flight to Amsterdam departed 37 minutes late at 5.52pm on Wednesday.
