AFCON: Mohamed Salah's argument with referee at FT of Egypt v Cameroon has gone viral

Egypt booked their place in the final of the Africa Cup of Nations by beating host nation Cameroon on Thursday evening.

Mohamed Salah and his teammates were taken to yet another penalty shootout and they prevailed once again to book a date with Sadio Mane‘s Senegal side on Sunday.

Harold Moukoudi, James Lea Siliki and Clinton N’Jie missed their penalties for Cameroon, with Zizo, Mohamed Abdelmonem and Mohanad Lasheen all converting from 12 yards for Egypt.

That’s right, Salah wasn’t even called upon this time like he was in the last-16 shootout versus Ivory Coast.

In truth, the Liverpool superstar was relatively quiet throughout and he even missed a golden chance to score from a defensive howler by Cameroon, the winger eventually thwarted by an onrushing Andre Onana when he should have done far better.

Salah cut a frustrated figure for much of the evening and when the whistle blew to signal the end of the regulation 90, Egypt’s talisman decided to have a word with referee Bakary Papa Gassama from Gambia about some of his in-game decisions – and things got a little bit heated.

But despite the fact Salah was venting some serious anger, Gassama stood firm and the whole interaction between the pair was just hilarious to watch.

A video of the two men going at one another on the pitch has unsurprisingly gone viral on social media and you can enjoy the brilliant footage below.
