AFC Wimbledon suffer big injury blows ahead of Bolton test as Wanderers verdict given

AFC Wimbledon have a host of injury and suspension problems ahead of taking on Bolton Wanderers this weekend.

The Wombles head to the University of Bolton Stadium to take on Wanderers in League One on Saturday afternoon.

But ahead of the encounter, head coach Mark Robinson has revealed that central midfielder Anthony Hartigan will miss the encounter with a dislocated shoulder, while Jack Rudoni is doubtful after pulling out of training.

Luke McCormick and Ayoub Assal are both suspended for the clash meanwhile and Robinson admits it will be a challenge to pick a team to take on Ian Evatt's men.

But reflecting on the 3-3 clash at Plough Lane earlier in the season, Robinson believes Wanderers remain a good side and are capable of keeping possession even better than they did earlier in the campaign.

He told the : "It's a bit challenging, I can't deny. We knew we didn't have Macca and Ayoub both through suspension, but Rudy is looking a huge doubt now and also we've lost Anthony Hartigan.

"He's dislocated his shoulder so Ant's going to be out we're hoping only two weeks but it could be up to four depending on how it reacts so it's not ideal.

"Obviously Rudy has had to pull out of training today so he's a big doubt. It does leave us short in certain areas but I trust all of the lads here and we'll come together and come up with solutions. "The key thing is no matter what side we put out we are fiercely competitive and that's what we'll be again on Saturday.

"I did have a look back at that game in the summer and there's a few things that have changed, but they were a very good side then and they're a very good side now.
